Lois will be at Upstart Crow Bookstore and Coffee House in Seaport Village on Thursday, May 2 at 7 p.m. Hofmann’s presentation, “Come Away with us to the Islands,” is a South Pacific-themed multimedia presentation highlighting adventures and culture she experienced during the voyage from San Diego to Australia.

Sit back and relax. Picture yourself in one of the South Pacific destinations—the Marquesas, Tuamotus, Tahiti, Cook Islands, Fiji, Easter Island, The Societies, Tonga, New Zealand, or Vanuatu. Lois will inspire and inform as she introduces a multimedia show that features the South Pacific segment of her 8-year, 62-country sailing circumnavigation with her husband Günter on board the 43-foot catamaran "Pacific Bliss."

The presentation integrates true stories about sailing and traveling with fast-paced dancing videos. She’ll read an ironic story from her latest book, "Sailing the South Pacific," which refers to San Diego’s West Marine store. Lois and Günter will stay to answer questions and to sign books.
